TGIF: National Chocolate Cake Day!
I have to admit that some of the links I have chosen to share do not mesh with a vibrantly delicious picture of a decadent slice of moist chocolate cake. Yet, when I grieved the death of my parents while living in the South, the church sent cake. So… cake transcends whatever is going on in your world. Happy National Chocolate Cake Day. I mean, do you really need an excuse to eat cake?

When I was let go from my first vocational ministry the one thing I knew I wanted to continue to do was preach. I had no idea where God would take me, but it was clear in my mind what I was to do when I got there. The urge to preach was like my second calling. The first being my original calling to ministry while still in college. God wouldn’t leave me alone about it.
